Multisig
Also known as multi-signature multisignature multisig wallet
A multisig, or multi-signature, wallet requires approval from several separate keys before funds can be moved, for example any two of three keys. It reduces the risk that one lost or stolen key leads to loss of funds and prevents any single person from acting alone. Multisig is widely used by companies, DAOs and treasuries. Its security depends on how independently the keys are held.
